How do I get a permit?
To obtain a permit, a written examination will need to be completed through the Department of Motor Vehicles. The Rules of the Road handbook can be used to prepare for this test. You can pick up a copy of this book by visiting any DMV in Illinois. You can also click here to visit the Secretary of State of Illinois’ website to view the Rules of the Road book.
What if I need help preparing for the permit test?
We do offer study services for adults. These are private classroom sessions with resources to help you prepare for the written exam. If you would like to take classroom studies to prepare for your permit test, please contact our office for rates and schedules.

Adults with a Permit
We offer Behind the Wheel (BTW) sessions by the hour for our adult students. However, there are package deals available starting with as few as 4 lessons. Our packages offer the most savings and are recommended.
How many sessions will I need?
The amount of sessions you will need depends on the level of experience you have and your ability to learn the techniques. This can vary from person to person and can be from 1 session to as much as 10 sessions.
What if I have never been behind the wheel?
Our instructors are experienced professionals with the ability to teach even the most nervous of drivers.
Am I able to get picked up from home for my lesson?
Yes, we can pick you up from home, work or school. We can even arrange to take you from one location to the other if it's convenient for you.
